Extreme personal sacrifice can develop into an extreme anointing from the Lord

When one is enduring an extreme tribulation in life, the Lord can use it later in our lives as an extreme anointing from Him when coming out the other side healed, redeemed and restored.  There is a vast difference between enduring an extreme circumstance when you have no choice in life (such as verbal abuse as a child or worse) and then willingly allowing yourself to be taken advantage of or emotionally abused (or worse) in a marriage.

When one is a child and grows up with a parent (or both) who treat you with rejection, control, criticism or worse, there is much pain that develops which the enemy uses later in life.  The enemy whispers to you that you cannot trust anyone and based out of fear, you become very controlling and can be abusive to other relationships in life, sabotaging them.  But once healed later in life, through forgiveness and possibly through renunciation prayers commanding any enemy spirits, such as Jezebel or Leviathan, to be gone from your life, you can develop an anointing from the Lord to help many others get freed.

When a person is married to someone who treats them with contempt, verbally criticizing them every day, emotionally abusing them, and chooses to stay in the marriage, trying to help the person they love to be healed, then the Lord will honor you later in life.  There is something powerful when you lay your life down in every way, willingly, for another person who is hurting from childhood wounds, in order to help save a life.

The key is not getting angry at the Lord, complaining every day, and turning bitter.  You must count this as a special assignment from the Lord to bring about the change in a person who was hurt in severe ways, forgiving them for all that they do, for they truly “know not what they do.”

Does it mean that you simply are a punching bag for your spouse and allow them to physically or sexually abuse you?  Absolutely not.  But it may mean for a season of life, that you give them extreme grace, love on them like Christ, and turn the other cheek.  The other person does have a freewill which they can decide to continue to stay on the dark side.  But at least you gave them a chance to see what a true Christian is all about, and if the Holy Spirit can get through to them, cause them to want what you have.

Love is a powerful thing, and the Lord loves that you are trying to love on an unlovable person for His sake.  The more extreme the situation that you willingly endure for Christ, the more extreme your anointing in Him will develop into when coming out the other side.  When you have walked through one of the most extreme personal sacrifices for His sake, then there is nothing that he will not do for you.  He will connect you divinely with those that He wants to help promote your ministry and life with.  He will provide for your needs financially.  He will bring you into a deep peace and you will not have anything to fear, ever again.  Keep your faith, peace and love on today.

  • Love this, and perfect timing for this week.
As I was praying last night I felt God is starting to connecting me with the right person/ministry. ( God is on the MOVE )
The whole article resonated deep within me, and the part that really spoke to me and brought confirmation was when you said. God will connect you divinely with those that He wants to help promote your ministry and life, He will provide for your needs financially. He will bring you into deep peace. Amen

    • Yes Melissa….too many people try to make favor happen in their life, instead of letting God pour His favor on them through setting up surprise divine connections and watching miracles happen to them. I have learned to never fear, ever, due to the Lord taking me through such an extreme circumstance. I was able to learn to just rest in His peace and favor and allow him to surprise me with blessings in His timing. It is truly a wonderful thing.
